Dong Li received the Ph.D. degrees in Communication and Information Systems from Sun Yat-Sen University, Guangzhou, China, in 2010. Since 2010, he has been with the Faculty of Information Technology, Macau University of Science and Technology (MUST), Macau SAR, China, where he is currently an Associate Professor. He held a visiting position in Institute for Infocomm Research (I2R), Singapore, in 2012. His current research interests focus on Backscatter Communication, Intelligent Reflecting Surface-assisted Communication, and Machine Learning for Communication. He was the recipient of the 2011 and 2016 MUST Bank of China (BOC) excellent research award. He served as the TPC Vice-Chair for IEEE ICCS 2014, the Program Chair/Plenary Speaker for IEEE ICCEI 2018, the TPC Co-Chair for ICICN 2019, the Keynote Speaker for ICSP 2020, and the Publication Chair for CTISC 2020. He has been an Executive Board Member of the IEEE Macau Section since 2016, and an IEEE Senior Member since 2020.
